Nexaris Group Ltd, trading through Hola, is committed to protecting privacy and complying with the Privacy Act 2020 of New Zealand. This Privacy Policy explains how personal information relating to drivers using the Hola Driver Platform is collected, used, stored, and disclosed.
2. Information We Collect
Hola may collect identity information, contact details, bank and payment details, GST registration details, vehicle information, licence and compliance documents, trip history, earnings history, ratings, reviews, device information, IP address, app activity logs, and safety or support records.
3. Location Information
The Hola Driver App collects location data while the app is open, during active trips, and during driver availability periods where permitted by device settings. Location information is used to match drivers with riders, calculate fares, improve service efficiency, investigate incidents, and enhance platform safety.
4. How We Use Information
We use driver information to verify identity, create and maintain accounts, facilitate transportation services, process payments, detect fraud, investigate complaints, improve services, communicate with drivers, and comply with legal obligations.
5. Information Sharing
Riders may see driver first name, photograph, vehicle details, and driver ratings. Information may also be shared with payment processors, identity verification providers, cloud hosting providers, customer support providers, analytics providers, regulators, courts, police, NZTA, or other authorities where required for operations, safety, dispute handling, fraud prevention, or legal compliance.
6. International Transfers and Security
Some information may be processed or stored outside New Zealand. Where overseas disclosure occurs, Hola will take reasonable steps to ensure comparable privacy protections are maintained. Hola uses reasonable safeguards including encryption, access controls, secure hosting, and monitoring systems.
7. Retention, Access, and Correction
Hola retains personal information only as long as reasonably necessary for services, legal compliance, tax obligations, fraud prevention, and dispute resolution. Drivers may request access to personal information or correction of inaccurate information by contacting driversupport@holarider.co.nz.
8. Marketing, Analytics, and Complaints
Hola may send service announcements, platform updates, and promotional offers. Drivers may opt out of marketing communications, although operational communications may still be sent where necessary. Privacy concerns or complaints may be submitted to driversupport@holarider.co.nz. If unresolved, drivers may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of New Zealand.
9. Changes
Hola may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updated versions will be published through the Platform and website, and continued use constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
